You may be about to be scammed
and if you get scammed, email me with the details and I will post it.

Hopefully people will be able to avoid that sick, sinking feeling when they look on this webpage and see the person's name
that they have been corresponding with, and that they will see that name or photo before they become a victum.

Your photos may have been stolen off of your site, like mine were.

I am posting any emails people are sending me because they have been scammed, or things just do not seem right.
Some are real scammers and have already made thousands of dollars from US and other citizens.
Most of these are out of the US and have stolen my or other people's photos off their web site.

This site is not accusing everyone here, but many of these emailers have been scammed and can say this.
Others are here so you can check the details out before you buy.

ASK your seller if they have a license. It is the law in the USA that they have a USDA license to sell, exhibit, or breed exotics.
If they do not have one, go away quickly. Ask people in the UK if they have a license and ask for a copy of their license.
If they say that they have a USDA license and live in any other country, they are a fraud.

If they do, it will be verifiable on the USDA list. You can ask what their license number is.
There is no reason to buy one outside of the USA. These are usually the scammers.
Remember, if the deal is too good to be true, IT IS!!

There is a list of scammers, potential scammers, and the emails that people have sent me.

This rip off scam is getting ridiculous!! Newest emails below in order of receiving them.

Here is another fraud/scam website. It is very comprehensive also. It has lots of other scams and most are from Cameroon, Africa.

Be aware of these email addresses and names. The actual emails are included. You may get one identical to them. They often use different names, or different emails.
Remember, this site is not accusing anyone. We are warning of potential scammers due to the complaints that have been received.
However there are many, many actual people on here who have been scammed by people on this list. Others have been warned in time.

Now the scammers are pretending to be a law firm to help you get back your money from the scammers, which are themselves.
They have your information because they are the ones who scammed you. They can get it all online for a few bucks if you did not give it all to them.
They will email you and knowing how upset you are, offer to help you recover your losses. But, you will have to pay some fees first. Of Course!!!

Below is the new email I recently received about the Christian law firm that wants to help you recover some of your losses, at a small fee of course.
Its incredible what they will do to scam money from you. Do not take the bait. It'a another scam. They even have purchased a domain name for this.

Don't know if you remember me or not but I contacted you in March of 2009 about being the victim of a savannah kitten scammer and the use of your photos. You posted my story and then your web site grew and grew. I now have two wonderful savannahs and had almost forgotten the original dreadful event until yesterday when I received the following email.

Evidently, he is still out there and attempting yet another scam. Please read the email to me and my response. I have not received a response but it is just a tiny bit scary that he has all this information about me. It might be a good idea to post yet another warning about this new approach that has followed the original event by one year. Best to you and all your efforts to put an end to scammers.

Hi Patricia. I so do remember you and that you were the one who started me on this quest.
Yes the site sure has grown huge and I have even more to file. I am certain that there are hundreds out there who are too embarrassed to admit to being scammed.
It is so large that I had to redesign it. Now I have a spread sheet with the names, emails, and other bits of info that hopefully will help avert some from being scammed.
At least it is getting some interest.

This has got to be a scam also. If they were a real law firm, you would get certified letters, not email. They can get your information from your website if you have it, or from the same place we can get all that information for about $19.95.
It is on the internet. I have paid for the same services before to find info about people.
Its funny about the name he chose and what it means. How did you find that out? That was pretty smart on your part.

There are a few issues here that red flag the notice, other than being in an email.
First of all, I bet they will offer to help you get your money back if you send them some money up front. So, keep talking to see if this is the case.
They know you were scammed because they are the ones who did it.
So, now they are emailing all their victums, knowing that they are really mad, and will want to go after the scammers.
There in lies the new scam. Paying more money to the scammers to help you get money back, which will never happen.

The other red flags is the lack of 'meticulous law firm grammar'
The typos are not consistent with a legal firm.

This is the most obvious red flag to me.
Personally, I have already contacted the FBI and they do not get involved. They told me it was not worth their time and effort for such small amounts. They said that if the scammer were to come her in the US and break a law, they would consider it.
They sure will not want to check out anyone not in the USA.

Ask who brought it to their attention.
They did not even sign the email, but did say God Bless, which is common for them since they think that when they say it, you will trust them because they must be Christians!

Ask if they have a website and how long they have been in business. How many people have they helped? etc. This will be GOOD!

I also looked up the phone number she gave me and it's a number for South Dakota and the ad says shes in California. So, all together she said shes in 3 places, Atlanta, California, and Hawaii.
The kittens were to be shipped from Hawaii, the ad says California, and thinking I was emailing back about another ad I had replied to I said I thought she was in Atlanta and she said yes. Anyways, Hope this helps.

I also sent her another email calling her out on being a scammer and she replied with saying that she sent it to hawaii not knowing that they were illegal and she said thats why the fee was so much because they had to pay extra to avoid "customs." With all these details , you can see for yourself that sending this kitten to you will not be any problem,because the kitten will come accompanied byall legal papers certified by the Council's department here. ( The Council's department? Did not know they had a department.)

It is the courier service that will send this document to you once i must have made the delivery reservation at the airport here ,not me.
Where are you located precisely in the US and what is the name of your closest airport ?
I do have references in the US, that can testify to you how they placed their orders and received their kittens in perfect health condition.
The courier service does door delivery whereas airline companies such as Delta do airport delivery.
That is just a difference between a courier service and an airline service. (She did not even respond to his request)

You are the buyer,so you have to cover the above mentioned charges on your own.

Below is copy of my cattery - WCF license that was issued by the Liverpool,Council for animal husbandry here.

I still have not had time to find out if the WCF certificate is realistic. If anyone out there reading this can help answer the queston we would appreciate it. The number should be tracable or something. I seriously doubt that a World Cat Fancy would recognize 'Exotic Kittens" as a breed of cat.

Just in (March 5th 2010) There is a scammer on the site www.busydirect.com selling serval kittens for $800. Some of the photos are stolen and are on this page. The original owners of the photos are noted when possible.

Caution, These are the same people who sent stolen photos to many other people. They offer no phone number, no fax, no mobile, only email. They say they live in Atlantic Beach, Florida.
If anyone does email these people, please get them to send photos, give a phone number, give references and we will see if they are the same fake ones that they give to others. They are sending stolen photos to everyone. In FL, they CANNOT breed Ocelot and cheetahs. Ask them for the USDA and Florida Fish and Game permit numbers. You will see that there are none.

I just saw the photos you posted on the savannah scam page. I don't know who the pictures belong to but I received the same ones earlier this week when I was scammed into putting a deposit down on a fake savannah. Just wanted to let you know.
I have so much correspondence from these people. It is amazing how much time and effort they take and all they got from me was $290 but now I am just sad because I really wanted my savannah kitty.

A women name Victoria Moore contact me and she said she had to kittens and I could have them just for the delivery fee. pet_transport_agency@ europe.com wants me to westernunion $600.00 for the kitten.
They say the kitten is coming from portland oregon but it also says this women is from the country Cameroon and the city is Victoria.
How can that be. Do you think this is a scam and by the way do you have any bobcat kittens for sale?
Just want one as a pet. Hope you can help me.

YES Teri, it is a definate SCAM. Cameroon is the most notorious scam place on earth. They all use Western Union becausse there is no way to get your money back.
How can she arrange to have non-existant and probably illegal to own, Bobcats shipped to you from Oregon and she is in Africa? She can't.

And you can see from the correspondence I also gave him your website as a reference for him last August 2009 which was when this all took place. If you scroll to the bottom and read the first email, this is the one Bert forwarded to me with the pictures, does that name look familiar to you? When I was looking for a serval I also used your website as a guide, I am sure all the info you post about scams has helped sooooo many people save their money.

This English scammer, Susan Ket, said that Karin Scott is a customer and she lives in Tacoma, Washington State, USA. Her number is 253-777-3482-WRONG!

We did an Intelius Public research on the phone numbers and you can see that neither of the residents at those numbers have been the people that the scammers said that they were.
These people might be part of the scam, or might not even know that their number is being used.
The Susan Ket person in England said that Karen Scott purhased a kitten the end of Jan. 10.
She also said Gray Klein ( graymccoyklein@washington.usa.com) also is a customer.

I did an internet search and found that the same phone numbers were used in another scam attempt and were already listed on this scam page.
But they used different names then. The phone numbers and places are the same.

Look and compare. Both of these references were given by the potential English Scammer, Karin Scott,
It makes one question if these people who are listed as references know about this and are involved.

Hi, my name is Jessica and I was one like many who could not wait to get a savannah kitten. I did all of my research on them, I have a veterinary background and just an
amazing cat lover.
So I emailed a few people and had only a couple responses, a lady under the name of Rebecca White responded, then I was so excited and the scam was on.
I had no idea until about day 5 when they wanted more money and would not give me a location on the kittens, he claimed they were stranded at the air port.
Never would he give me exact location or airbill number.
He had all of the right paper and answers or so it seemed, and the insurance company ( fake as well) did all of the call backs and answered when I called so I had no idea.
I feel dumb for my mistake because I try to do right by everybody and trust everyone and will go out of my way to help anyone but you just can't do that anymore, it is so sad
:( but the worst part of everything is I know what a great home I can give a savannah kitten, but I lost over 3500 dollars in this mess and my eyes still tear up when I think about it.
The money part sucks but they hurt my heart more then anything,
I can't help but feel like I betraied my husband for the money lost ( he is so great he says he loves me and it was not my fault) I cry when I think about it,
it hurt me pretty bad and my biggest weakness is the well being of an animal and some how a perfect stranger turned that around on me.

The guy, Ryan, who sent it to me, noticed that it was exactly like the others, but some new photos. He even got an identical email for servals months ago.
Now these scammers are pushing Savannahs because they can get more money.

Here is the initial email he sent me after I was simply inquiring about price for a female kitten with breeding rights because it simply wasn't posted on his website. As you can see, his initial statement of what you get for your money is simply rehearsed material that has alarming characteriitics such as those of the ones he has scammed so many innocent people. I am going to forward to you also a copy of his so-called USDA license in which I am quite certain is a fake as well. Maybe you could clarify that this is maybe somewhat what it looks like. The same email where he gets a little frustrated with my questions about whether he had different listings with the same pictures under a different name. He has different distributing partners in Alberta Canada and somewhere else.... Come on now! Where do they come up with this stuff? Look forward to your response!

Here is a scammer, using Rolly, the serval kitten , who must be 4 years old by now.

The lady in the US, Kristy_ asked all the right questions, did all the right homework and research, and was not scammed.
As far as I know, the references she provided have not been checked out If any of you have time to do this, let me know.
Also, the lady wanted payment to be made to her cattery, which, when questioned more abou it, she did not even have a cattery. What a surprise...
She also signed the emails under two differnt names, Mrs.. Mary H. Jones and Mary Hilsen.

Below are the fake references that were given. Doing a telephone look up with Intellius, you will see that these people are not the ones who own the numbers.
These numbers were also given as references by another person. You can see the same information at the top of this webpage.

More news: We have found the owners of a lot of the photos in the scam emails that have been stolen and sent as their own cats. The real owners of some of these photos are Pauline and Frank Turnock.
They live in Aberdeenshire, UK, Their serval site is http://www.gayzette-bengals.co.uk/html/macchuie_gallery.html.
They also raise some beautiful Bengals also and you can check the site if in doubt of the origin of your photos.
Some of their serval photos are in the group of photos sent by Kevin Dannell as his own.

News! We finally found the owner of the photos at the very bottom of this page and in several of the scam emails that have been sent out. They live in Ohio!
As we suspected, these photos have been stolen. Shannon and her husband own the servals and this is the 2nd time that the photos have been stolen.
Mr. Allen is he guy in the dark brown leather chair holding the kitten with that blue toy or whatever it is. Shannon K Allen is the lady holding the kitten that her husband is bottle feeding in the photo above. What a shame. Shannon, glad you found this site and we hope a lot of other people do also.

Here is another scam done in Nov. 09 This lady was from Korea and was scammed out of $6000!
It was from one of the scammers on the list named Kevin Dannell
The photos are the ones he used. Below that is the series of emails.

Photos he used are the same as usual and a few new ones. I wonder if there is a way to see if the British person here knows that this is being used, or if he is even real?

This email sounds and looks suspicious. Notice the similar style, broken English, misspelled words, and way it is written. Also, the customary wanting to know if we take money orders, and it was sent to "undisclosed recipients" which often means she is fishing for suckers. They often claim to be deaf so they do not have to talk directly on the phone.

This next scam story reads like a short story. You can see the excitement, anger, frustration and disillusionment of the lady, Charity, from Kentucky.
Unfortunately, it is a true story.

This one is real and happened to a lady in Kentucky. She sent her payment and to her surprise, she got another email saying that the cat was
held up due to insurance fees by the airlines and it would cost her another $2800 to get the cat released. By Western Union only -of course-
She did not want to loose the money she already sent so she prepared to send the 'insurance' fees, which was just another scam.
This time the insurance was to be paid to a person in Cameroon, Africa. Must be working together.
The scammers live in England, where there seems to be a hot spot of them working.

Here are most of the emails in order that I received from the lady in Kentucky admitting that she did get scammed.

This seems like a really good scam to me I have never heard of an airport who wants this kind of money for insurance on a cat, and wants the money Western Union.
Insurance is not something that gets refunded in full. It is a service that you pay for. I was not informed of this ahead of time and think it is absolutely absurd.
You can contact Mrs Mcguill and ask her to pay it, after all she was suppose to be responsible for all shipping charges.

First of all, the kitten in question is an exotic kitten and from the constitution placed by the Pet Control Authority - United kingdom, it states that; (We here in the US never relaized that the Constitution was given to the UK from the Pet Control Authority. That is hilariously amazing!)
Any exotic animal leaving the United Kingdom for any country out of the European Union, the receiver is exoected to pay a refundable deposit of ?1800.00 (The "constitution" has misspelled words in it too.)
Euro which shall be refunded upon delivery or pick-up of the animal either in cash or by bank to cashier cheque. So you the receiver is expected to pay for the
"Refundable Insurance" via western union since it takes less time to do the transfer and the agency operates one. So we kindly request you to get the payment
done and send us a copy of the western union receipt for confirmation. Once the payment is verified and confirm, we will send you Receipt which shows that
you have paid ?1800.00 as an insurance deposit for the kitten after which we will send a copy of the sign copy of the receipt to the carriers service sothat they

Maybe this to try to validate his identity?

Our Serval Kittens are indoor kittens, and they need some space to exercise and play. They'll do quite well even in a rather small home or apartment as long as they have plenty of toys, safe areas of the house to explore, and some tall cat trees to climb ... plus most of all, plenty of attention from you. It's been our experience that our kittens are very social. If you are concerned about whether or not you'd be able to spend enough time with the kittens, consider purchasing a "two-some" as in two brothers, or a brother and sister, etc. (Our Serval Kittens also do extremely well with friendly dogs and puppies since they grew up with our 2 German Shepherd Dogs which are our security dogs).
I will like to know how soon you are expecting adopt our male serval kitten.

Galia got this one from a lady who posted serval kitten in NY, which I also contacted. Of course, they were really not in NY and she refused to give her location. But she did give another email for us to contact. She said she only had one kitten left, and that came from Canada, shipped to England as a Savannah, but would not say how New York is involved in this scam. June 28th. -The following email is so obvious. The seller claims that the Serval is AKC registered! How special that must be. I thought that was for DOGS!
Also he claims to be in the Peace Corps and copies some great text from the site - Perfect English,- and pastes it into his bad English email to elude that those are his words. Another issue is that the buyer told him he could come to Canada and get the cat himself. Then Mr. Paul -as he calls himself instead of Mr. Adrain- nowlives in Victoria, Cameroon. This is a new potential kitten scam done in April 09. Even the 'referrals' are in the scam ring. This lady was sent photos from a well recognized web site called A1 Savannahs. The people at A1 were notified and they verified that they were stolen photos and used to scam people.
The email for the scammer is Dannell@yahoo.com (whose name is Kevin -this time) and his references scammer friends emails are Timmorison2000@aol.com and Danielajone2007@myway.com

Here is the text from Pat, the scammed lady. Notice how similar it is to all the others.
1. On 2/28 I responded to an ad on a website by the name of Pets-Sale. I had looked at several breeders sites and knew I couldn't afford the prices being asked so when I found Kevin Dannell at this site I was very excited.
The picture was of a serval but he also advertised savannahs and several other exotics. The address listed was Colorado, New York. I contacted him through this site.

2. He responded on 3/1. I emailed (the site) again asking for a phone number so we could talk about the kittens he had. The phone number he supplied was 702-560-8785 (Nevada area code). I called the number but the reception was so bad that I suggested emailing.

3. He immediately got back to me with a photograph of a beautiful kitten and her "mommy kim" and "daddy dana". Email address...Kevin Dannell@yahoo.com. As per Mr. Dannell ..." kitten can be transported to Virginia as soon as you want.

4. The price was $2000 which included shipping. (Obviously I had found just what I wanted and purged ahead.)

5. On 3/2 I asked Mr. Dannell for references which he provided me with. I emailed Timmorison2000@aol.com and Danielajone2007@myway.com asking about Dannell.

6. On 3/3 I heard back from both references. They both were very positive and had purchased cats from him in the past.

7. On 3/4 I again email Mr. Dannell and asked how we should proceed. He sent an email of all the "stuff" that would be coming with the kitten...food dispenser, heated bed, scratching post, toys, etc. He told me he would telephone later with payment details. We had agreed to $1200 down and $800 on arrival. (Seemed safe enough to me) He called that evening and even talked to my granddaughter about the cute little kitten he was sending to her. When I talked to him, still a little suspicious, I asked him where he was from ...answer Australia (not with that accent he wasn't). I asked him what he did and he replied that he and his wife were missionaries and had lived in 30 different countried. Breeding kittens was a side business that help to support the Soul for Heart Orphanage (spelled wrong) in Cameroon. He then proceeded to tell me that they were enlarging the orphanage because so many children had been turned away. (Got me know buddy...I am a pediatric nurse and he knew it).

8. On 3/5 I received an email that I was to wire $1200 to Soul for Heart Orphanage, P.O. Box 45156, Akwa Douala Cameroon, Attention Kenah Primus, question...Kevin Dannell, answer...humanity. I did this, confirmed to him by email that it has been sent and checked the next day to find that the money had been collected.

9. On 3/7 I was told of the airline arrangements for the kitten. I checked the flight numbers and times to find them all correct. The Kitten was to fly from Las Vegas to Charlottesville, Va. Arriving 3/8 at 10:30 am

10. On the morning of 3/8 I awakened to find three email informing me that there had been a problem He sister-in-law had also sold the kitten and collected a deposit of $760 which she spent. Mr. Dannell wanted me to again wire money. This time to a David Bummell, 200 Dean Street, Liskeard, PL 14 4A, England. When I told him that this just was not going to happen and that I had made my deposit and I would be happy to wirehe deposit any what that he chose but only after I had the kitten, he refused to send her. Several more threatening emails later I realized that I had been scammed.

11. The next day I emailed him telling him that I expected my money returned and once again he offered to send the kitten if I would just wire the money. Not going to happen buddy.

I filed an FBI/Internet Fraud report as well as contacted every website where I found his advertisement.
On one site he even as monkeys for sale. In addition to Pets-Sale, his ads were removed from Felines-4-us, oodle.com and multiple classified ads.
I spent days and days on this project hoping to recover from the loss of the kitten I so desparately wanted.
It was just by accident that I came across the photos the other day. Once again, I was trying to find a kitten.
I am not sure which one yours was on because they have all been removed.
The "parents" of the kitten I thought I was buying were photos from the Wagati's in Oklahoma and KristinFilseth in Virginia.
Hopefully this has been helpful. I have a great deal of respect from all the breeders that have brought up these beautiful animals.

This one below is from Dr. Peter Cole, who writes like a teenager, and spells worse. They want to send me hundreds of dollars for a cheap puppy, and send the 'change' back to them so that they can pay their shipper. They sent a fake money order, but want me to do a wire transfer back to them via Western Union. This scam is old, but people still fall for it. Here is his/her letter. They would not tell me their address until I kept insisting. Just as the second one below, Mike Cole says he is hearing impaired too.

I sent him an address to send me the fake Money Order. I have a collection of them. That way he will have to pay for the postage, and sometimes they spend lots of money to overnight by Fed Ex.
This is the only way I know how to get back at them, is to have them spend money mailing stuff. Then I will tell him that I cashed the check, and will give the change when they come to pick it up. The FBI said that is the only way to arrest them, is if they show up somewhere (not at my house) They get reallly upset, and I block their emails after telling them that they are on a scam list.\

This is another attempt to scam me. It is just like Dr. Cole's email above. But now the name is James Steven. It looks like they copy and paste.

I was just on your site and I was reading your warning about scammers. I found the EXACT same email I just got today from exoticfamily@gmail.com. I had a suspicion it wasn't real because they are so eager and usually when there isn't proper english, it's usually fake. I'm so glad I found your warning place, and if you want a copy of the emails I got, let me know. I just told them I decided against getting one because my apartment didn't allow pets. I can't believe some people.. I also found the exact same pictures that on your scammers web page that they just sent me. It's pretty ironic they "suddenly" had the exact kitten I wanted.. lol.

Thanks so much for creating a web page notifying the public of the dangers of dealing with non-registered USDA breeders.
I looked up all these breeder licenses and they all have current USDA license numbers. I have found only 4 or 5 reputable breeders of servals.
Munch Ranch (you), Julie's Jungle, Valley Exotics, Arnold's Exotics.
I bought a serval from Valley Exotics, and he is legit.

Please WARN the public that if you can NOT talk to these people on the phone-they probably are NOT legit.

Second, most reputable breeders recommend certified mail for buyer protection.

Lastly, I recommend that if the price sounds too good to be true-it is! Most serval breeders sell kittens from $2500-$4000.

I would of definately bought from you but I live in CA. I am in the process of receiving my USDA license and Ca Fish and Game permit-long process.
I am also an advocate to legalize servals in CA. Fish and Games main concern is the protection of local species and that many exotics are a threat to local species.
Well, serval cats MUST be kept in your house, a secure USDA approved enclosure or cattery or on a leash at all times. This solves that issue.

9/4/08 New scam warning. I just got another email from a lady who did enough research to discover that they are still working to scam people. This time they are using the names Patrick Perez or Jennifer Perez or Christine. and the email and phone is: patrick_perez@socialworker.net or call 00237-9439-8672 .

To you all who got this email regarding a pet.
Be very careful with the person who emailed this to you all.
This email has the smell of a scammer.
They always start out the same way.
They want to know the condition and last price or details.

Check out the address and if they want to pay you with a money order, they will probably offer you much more than its worth, and want you to send the 'change' so they can pay their shipper.
They also often offer you a bonus, and want you to keep whatever extra you need.
Also, they often will tell you that they are out of the country, but will have their contact, or shipper come get it.
It will never happen.
You will deposit a large amount of money into your account.
Then withdraw the difference and send it to them.
By the time he gets the change, your bank will notify you that the money order was a fake, and you have to put all that money that you withdrew back to your account.
I have gotten cashiers checks and money orders for $30 thousand dollars for a $2000 cat or dog.
They look real. Do not fall for it.
I have a scammer list on my site if you have received other scamm emails. I post them all.

My answer: Unfortunately, no one can help as far as I know. K9 Stud website has a place that you can report the scammer, but they can only block him from advertising, and these people are pfishing for suckers and not selling anything.

I just thought I would give you an update on the Serval Scams. They got me too for $1500.
That is really a harsh wakeup call when you’re 25 and you work hard for a living.
I thought I was getting something special and it turned out to be a lie. I wanted you to put it on your web site., so that others might find it.
I wish I would’ve seen one of the names on their sooner.
The company they are going by is Exotic Farm Inc. headed by Christine Muse & her husband Eugene Tata.
They say it is out of Cameroon Africa, but I did some research and it looks like she is in Miami.
I am going to keep shopping for a Serval and I will keep you in mind, as I am in Texarkana, so not too far away.
Unfortunately it will probably be a while before I can save up that money again, but I will let you know.

Another potential Scammers email " brycole002@yahoo.com" Bryan COLE. Probably not his real name.
This person offers to purchase your pets and send a money order, or cashers check over the amount, and wants you to send the 'overage' to the shipper.
Once this is done, your will be notified that the fraudulent deposit was no good, and you are out all that money. Be very careful of anyone wanting to give you
Money orders, or Cashiers checks for over the amount you advertised. I had a $3000 cat for sale and the scammer sent me a money order for over 30 thousand dollars
and wanted me to send the 'change' to his shipper. Unbelievable! But true, and they have scammed many people who believe this.

Notice the pattern of comments and the language. This is the typical scam letter and they will want to send me thousands of dollars over what the puppy is worth, and for me to send the 'extra' after I deposit the check and get the cash. Then I am to send it all to the shipper, keeping part of it as extra money for my trouble.
Then your bank notifies you that it was fake, and you have to return all that money. Too late then.
